Bio

Adriana L. Medrano is a Xicana Mujerista & Liberation Psychologist. Her work centers the healing & liberation of BIWOC (Black, Indigenous, Womxn of Color) utilizing an anti-oppressive & abolitionist approach.

Her work focuses on the reclaiming of spiritual and ancestral medicine for Black, Brown, Indigenous Womxn, Femmes & Queer Folx of Color. Adriana also lives with the invisible disability of depression and anxiety, stemming from intergenerational and community (systemic) trauma.

Adriana resides on stolen, unceded Tongva land, known today as South-Central Los Angeles, CA. She is a daughter of Mexican immigrants and her ancestral lineage can be traced back to the stolen, unceded lands of the Guamares and Coahuiltecan peoples (present day Guanajuato and Tamaulipas, MX).
